Vitamin B2 - RIBOFLAVIN

Necessary for numerous metabolic processes

Vitamin B2 - also known as riboflavin or lactoflavin - plays an important role in the body in the conversion of food into energy. Riboflavin, which occurs in nature as a yellowish plant pigment, can only be produced by plants and microorganisms. Due to its yellow color, it can also be used as a food coloring.

In our body, vitamin B2 is particularly important for metabolism, as it acts as a building block for various coenzymes. In this way, vitamin B2 contributes to the conversion of carbohydrates, fats and proteins into energy. It also supports the effect of vitamin B3 (niacin) and vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) in the body.
