Two capsules of BIO Astaxanthin Oleoresin Capsules contain 8 mg astaxanthin from oleoresin. High-quality, certified organic olive oil serves as a carrier for the oleoresin. The valuable ingredients are enclosed in a gelatine softgel capsule shell to protect the oleoresin optimally from oxidation.
Oleoresins are coloring or flavoring extracts that are obtained from seeds, roots, leaves or fruits by extraction. The oleoresin for our product BIO Astaxanthin Oleoresin Capsules is obtained by a gentle process from the red algae Haematococcus pluvialis, which is cultivated in the Krkonose Mountains National Park in the Czech Republic in glass tube photobioreactors in accordance with EU organic farming guidelines. The modern glass tube photobioreactors in which the green algae is cultivated are fed with the purest mountain spring water, which meets the strict requirements for the production of baby food and is certified for this purpose. The ultra-modern process enables an unusually high astaxanthin concentration in the oleoresin of the algae.
