CitroPlus® 1200 forte grapefruit seed extract: bioflavonoids galore!
Our grapefruit seed extract CitroPlus® 1200 forte is obtained from the seeds and peel of organically grown grapefruits. Gentle extraction using a biocompliant process provides a reliably high content of valuable bioflavonoids. These belong to the so-called secondary plant substances from which plants benefit in several ways: On the one hand, flavonoids (Latin flavus = yellow) give the flowers an attractive color for pollinators, on the other hand, they offer protection against predators and UV radiation. Well-known bioflavonoids include hesperidin, naringin, rutin and quercetin.
With a total flavonoid content of 1200 mg per 100 ml, the product has an exceptionally high dosage.
Bioflavonoids also fulfill a variety of functions in the human organism.
As the body cannot produce them itself, they must be regularly ingested as protective substances with plant foods. A balanced diet with a high proportion of fresh fruit, vegetables and cereals forms a good basis. If this is not possible or the requirement is increased, food supplements with a standardized bioflavonoid content such as CitroPlus® can be useful.
Pleasant and practical liquid formulation
Thanks to the alcohol-free formulation based on slightly sweet organic glycerine CitroPlus® 1200 forte dissolved in a little water, is easy to consume for humans and animals. Other areas of application are also widespread, for which suggestions can be found online.
